Traditional Archery by the Sea
Step into the ancient world of traditional archery in a stunning ocean-side setting. This 2 to 3 hour experience is more than just a lesson—it's an exploration of our human nature, mindfulness, and the wisdom of our ancestors.
Begin with an introduction to shooting a traditional bow and arrow. Host Lance will guide you through the focus and discipline needed to hone your aim. Learn how this ancient practice fosters clarity and calm, as well as how it provides the opportunity for a deeper connection to yourself and the natural world.
Once your technique is sharpened, the adventure shifts to an exhilarating mock hunt. You'll embark as a member of a hunting party on a quest to seek out an animal of the past—a symbolic echo of the animals once hunted by those who lived here. Our hunt invites you to consider the world through the perspective of a hunter-gatherer, exploring certain rites of passage that defined survival in a distant past.
This experience also offers moments of quiet contemplation in the breathtaking beauty of the Bay of Fundy shoreline, where we’ll reflect on how archery connects us to nature, to our ancestors, and even to life lessons embedded in this ancient skill.
Whether you're a seasoned archer or trying it for the first time, this experience promises education, excitement, calm, and abundant gratitude all in one unforgettable interaction with a phenomenal corner of the Natural World.
