The Way of the Horsebow
Cost: $80 plus HST
Step into the ancient world of mounted warriors and discover the power of the horsebow—an agile and rapid-firing weapon perfected over thousands of years. Set against the breathtaking ocean-side backdrop of our training grounds, this immersive experience will introduce you to the essential elements that set horse archery apart from all other forms of traditional archery.
Under the expert guidance of hosts Lance Bishop and Sarah Clarke, you’ll learn the fundamentals of shooting a traditional horsebow—just as warriors and nomads once did—while standing on solid ground. Then, enjoy a delicious lunch and connect with your fellow archers.
Your challenge will be twofold:
🏹Speed & Accuracy – Achieve a warfare-worthy rate of fire while maintaining precision.
🏹Rhythm & Timing – Match your shots to the beat of a drum, simulating the rhythm of a cantering horse, where the perfect moment to release the arrow is found when all hooves leave the ground.
